Lead Baker - Night Shift

The Hi-Way Bakery is a small business located in South Chicago Heights Illinois. The bakery originally opened in 1939, was voted in 2012 best Bakery of the South Chicagoland and most recently was featured on WGN TV on "Chicago's Best" in April 2016.

We are looking to grow and expand our business into new markets and are seeking an experienced lead baker to work the night shift. The ideal candidate will help play an integral role in this expansion.

The candidate should possess the following skills / qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:
-Mixes and bakes ingredients according to recipes to produce pastries, donuts and other baked goods
-Measures flour, sugar, and other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs and fillings.
-Roll, cut, and shapes dough to form sweet rolls, donuts, cookies and related products
-Other duties as required

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a Bakery environment preferred
- Experience working with baking equipment (Oven, Mixer, Frier and other tools of the trade) preferred
- Clean driving record
- Can do attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn
- Team player
